Lifestyle and travel PR agency AMA was founded in 2010 by brother and sister team Alexandra and Frank Marr, after spending time working in New York and South Korea. They were later joined by Tom Watts, whose journalistic and modern media experience completed the core foundation of the agency. Today the agency has bases in both London and Scotland, with a network of marketing and media associates that can be called upon to help clients with anything from website design to digital effects and branding.

The trio have since established an agency that is both well recognised and highly respected within the industry. With unrivalled connections, creativity and the ability to craft quality content, AMA has seen their client list grow to include European countries, corporate hotel chains, leading lifestyle products and world-famous tourist attractions.

Alexandra Marr
— Senior Director

Alexandra has more than 15 years’ experience in the tourism industry, most of it in North America. Her career was founded on PR experience gained while working in the busy VisitBritain press office in New York. She later took on a management role as Director, North America for Visit Wales, where she managed PR, Marketing and Travel Trade for Wales in North America. Alexandra established AMA with her brother Frank in the Brecon Beacons in Wales in 2010.

Frank Marr
— Director and Head of Marketing 

Regarded as one of the industry’s brightest stars (he was named in PR Week’s ‘top 30 under 30 2015’), Frank has been behind numerous world-class campaigns and helped shape an agency built on a culture of hard work and innovation.

Frank helped establish AMA in 2010 after arriving home from two years teaching in South Korea. He has since garnered a reputation for transforming tourism businesses and destinations by working closely with them to identify their individual needs. He is an extraordinary networker and has built up an enviable media list and secured significant coverage in international and national media.

Tom Watts
— Director + Head of Content

Tom is Account Director and Head of Content at AMA. He joined AMA in 2012 from GreenTraveller, where he was destination project manager, and also spent time at both The Times and the Independent Traveller. This first hand journalistic experience means he is ideally suited to crafting expert pitches, as well as creating many forms of owned content for clients, from newsletters and blogs to innovative destination brochures.

Henrietta Bates
— Finance Manager

Henrietta spent 10 years working for the Commercial and Corporate banking division of Lloyds Banking Group. Within her role at Lloyds Henrietta also worked in corporate event planning and execution, as well as business development. She gained various accounting qualifications and now heads up the AMA finance department

Tamsin Daniel
— Head of lifestyle

Tamsin has headed up PR for interiors brands creating brand recognition through strategic marketing campaigns. She is innovative, creative and has a strong track record for delivering print and online media coverage. Tamsin has a wide ranging and very enviable lifestyle contacts portfolio nurtured and maintained with a labour of love and determination. She has proven invaluable in helping us secure key coverage on campaigns ranging from national newspapers to glossy lifestyle magazines.
