AMA retain three destination accounts for 2016/17

AMA are delighted to announce that we have retained three high profile destination accounts for 2016/17. We’ll continue to work alongside Wales’ hidden gem, Bridgend County, while also proudly promoting Hampshire and top European destination Slovenia.

The Slovenia Tourism Board will be looking to build on a 42% increase in British visitors over the past two years. 2016 and 17 will see Slovenia celebrate a ‘year of healthy waters’ as well as inviting visitors to experience sustainable adventures in the capital, Ljubljana, which was named Green Capital of Europe 2016.

The main focus of the next 12 months for Visit Hampshire will be gearing up for ‘Jane Austen 200’ – a year of celebration of the 200th anniversary of Jane Austen’s death. The beloved author was born, died and wrote many of her most famous works in Hampshire – 2017 will see a number of special exhibitions and events taking place in Winchester and throughout the county.

Bridgend County started 2016 strongly as they unveiled the world’s first selfie bench, resulting in a huge amount of coverage around the globe. Our work for the next 12 months will see us focus on family-friendly holidays while also gearing up for the Senior Open Championship golf tournament 2017.
